We are pleased to announce the internal promotion of Josh Smith to the position of Department Head of the Parks & Greenways Department! Alan Hamersly, PE, will continue to serve as a Senior Advisor for the department and as a resource for our valued clients.

Josh, who has served as both an architectural historian and client/state agency liaison in his 18 years at BF&S, will provide a new perspective for marketing and engagement with current and prospective clients looking for assistance in planning, funding, designing, and building parks and greenways in their communities. Alan will continue to utilize his experience to mentor staff, assist with project funding, manage special projects, and remain heavily engaged in professional associations.

“With their combined experience and knowledge, Josh, Alan, and the entire Parks & Greenways staff will be able to provide an even higher level of service to communities as they strive to visualize, plan, design, and develop parks and greenways projects throughout the state,” said BF&S Director of Transportation, Carl Camacho, PE.
