Summary:
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Huntington County Bridge 123 is a historic two-span truss built in 1920. BF&S tackled the rehabilitation of the trusses, abutments, and pier to increase the load capacity of the truss from three to 15 tons. The abutments and pier were reused and refaced with a 6” facing. The truss was rehabilitated and repainted to improve its longevity. Portions of the truss were retrofitted or replaced with in-kind members, while the floor stringers and wooden deck were replaced. All designed efforts were aimed at maintaining the historic nature of Bridge 123.
